In Love with Deepology

Deepology pres. Deep In The City: Moscow

Deep in the City is a new series of compilations from the Moscow’s Deepology Digital label. Through these series we attempt to discover the character depths of the principal locations of the Earth – the cities which live and pulse in their own unique ways. The opening compilation is devoted to Moscow, the city where our label lives, creates and studies the world around it. Check out the previews and mini-site dedicated to the series.

Elastic Sound - True Romance [DD035]
release date: 15 June 2009

Hey there, everyone!
We tried to think of a way to make the greeting sound original and funny, but we couldn't. So sorry. It must be the sign of heavy age and coming weakness: so sad: This means no more promo-emails, feedbacks from friends, no more releases to come. Hah, could you believe that? Neither do we, so here is the news: spring is everywhere and with the coming of it we are bringing you a new single from Mr. Elastic Sound - True Romance, being our 35th release. Quite a nice number don't you think? In Ancient Rome it was the age of a man, at which he was eligible to become a consul, you also gotta be 35 to be considered a candidate for presidency in the US, Ireland, or Poland. Yeah right, we knew you had plans!

So please, dive in the warm gradient of spring deep-house moods: the calm original True Romance tune from the man himself is extra-spiced by 4 fantastic remixes. Starting with a very classy sensual spacey dub by Da Funk, it goes through Plastic City inspired - bassline driven version by Kyka, a super-fat atmospheric delayed dub by a newcomer Ricky Inch - we don't even know what it is, deep house blended with prog or vice versa, it ends with a very melodic, very musical romantic piano story by UK's promising talents - The Disclosure Project.

Cheers big ears!

Ricky Inch & Da Funk are the winners here! on my Cabrio show this week!
Dave Storm (Ceremony Records, Cabrio, Seamless)

That Da Funk rmx is fucking lovely, themelodies are excellent.
Nacho Marco (Loud East, Freerange, Elevation)

Really like the Da Funk remix that's the pick of the bunch for me :)
Eelke Kleijn (Outside The Box, Proton, Global Underground)

I like the original best still on here. I have been playing our disclosure project remix out on shows already also.
Mr Jones (The Disclosure Project)

Da Funk's Back To The Future Dub is great for the mellow end of our Spiritchaser sets. Very nice indeed.
Richard Earnshaw (Duffnote, One51, Guess, Kinetic Management)

Well after listening to the original and spotting that The Disclosure Project had done a remix of it I was sure they would do something good with this...I wasn't disappointed! Great job from the dynamic duo, very classy sounding remix - will definitely support this. Da Funk's mix is also a good one.
Ross Couch (Body Rhythm)

Nice ep and a nice mixture of sounds!! Really like the Kyka and Disclosure Project mixs the most. I have used the latter in this months mix.
K-Bana (Guess Records)

I like the approach of the remixers to stay quite close to the excellent original and only add some new twists. Da Funk's dub is the most floor friendly mix and is therefore the mix I'll be playing.
Elmar Schubert (Satin Souls, Dessous, Baystreet)

Its nice & all well produced. Out of all the tracks, Da Funk's remix is my fave as its a really nice piece of music but it's not really what i play when i'm DJing thanks very much!
Harold Heath (Urban Torque, Plastic City, Lost My Dog)

Always quality guys ! Well done !
Steve Mill (Elevation)

Been supporting the Da Funk remix :-) Sounds fantastic !
Neil Bainbridge (Forensic, Stylus, Lost my Dog)

Da Funk's remix is our absolute favorite from this pack. We'll definitely spin this tune a lot.
