Deep in the City is a new series of compilations from the Moscow’s Deepology Digital label. Through these series we attempt to discover the character depths of the principal locations of the Earth – the cities which live and pulse in their own unique ways. The opening compilation is devoted to Moscow, the city where our label lives, creates and studies the world around it. Check out the previews and mini-site dedicated to the series.

Seva K - The Album [DD030]
release date: 24th February 2009

Greetings from our inner space!
Do you remember your first time well? Was it good or ridiculous, was she (what? he?! - your mother won't be proud) older then you? How did it change you?
You know, we're kind of nervous and horny at the same time, because it is the Deepology's first timer and we're talking the first artist album to happen to our label.
Symbolically it is the album of the artist who had blessed us with the very first Deepology release, so fellow Earthlings, please welcome! Seva K - the Album. You don't mind the title being extremely original, do you?
For those not knowing this gifted young man from Novgorod, Russia, it is a chance to dive deep into his fat and crispy sound, delicately layered, atmospheric tracks, with influences of techno here, electro there, hard to tell exactly what it is, really. Maybe that's what makes his stuff so good? Just let yourself get carried far away by the music.
Spaceship Deepology out.

Reactions
Great to see the label expanding into the album market and Seva K is a good choice to do it with. The album is a healthy mix of fat synth basses and warm electronic textures and melodies that's very easy to listen to. My personal favourite is Vignette which kicks off the album in some style and will definitely be getting played often. Other highlights for me would be Can't Wait and Youth, but really there's something to enjoy in pretty much all the tracks here.
Ross Couch (Body Rhythm, Seamless)
Some really nice sounds in there. Liking "Can't Wait'" "Youth", "The Jungle of Music" and "Even More".
Anil Chawla (Global Underground, Kill Brique)
Been playing a lot of these for the past year or so, still sounding fresh.
Leigh Morgan (Urbantorque)
Nice sounding album. Although personally, it would have been nice to hear less of his previously released material in there and more freshly written stuff. But solid and well produced nonetheless! Already on CD and in the car!
Richard Earnshaw (Duffnote, Guess, Spiritchaser)
I really like "The Jungle Of Music" track here. Beautiful.
Tuomas Salmela (Phonogenic Audio)
Lovely tunes here again from your camp. More for listening then the clubs for me.
Tyler Stadius (Fabric)
Really one of my favourites names now ! Thanks !
Daniel Kyo (Loudeast, Elevation, Deepology)

Good stuff ! Lot of nice tracks here will definitely support !
Eelke Kleijn (Outside the Box Music)
Fantastic album as expected from Seva K! Most of the tunes are perfectly useable in my set's.
Da Funk
Its a really detailed and sonically very interesting album, im really swaying towards Vignette because of the deep pads and square bassline, its a nice deep groover and Warm me has got some really nice glitches and fills along with the pads and atmospheres. Id give both a 4 out of 5.
K-Bana (Guess Records)
Great album! Love it, beautiful soundscapes, hammer tunes. Go Seva! There's a couple of tunes on here I'm really realy into.
Carlos Zarate (Thug Records)
Really like what Seva's doing just now and this is no exception. Keep it up :)
Tom Morgan
It is great to see Artist's putting out an Album, it shows the dedication and time that a good artist put's in to his production. Vignette and Warm me are in my
box for sure.
Soulfinder (Deepology, Outside the Box Music, Monadmusic)
Will have a proper listen this week, but it sounds really good after a quick skip through.
Pete Morgan
Wonderful album. Opens up with my favourite ever seva k tune Vignette, and continues with new and old alike in the same vein of quality. Congratulations to seva and the label.
